According to Dubuque PD one person was airlifted to Iowa City after an early morning shooting in Dubuque.

Dubuque Police Officers responded around 5:21 a.m. for a report of shots fired in the 1900 block of Central Avenue.

Officers found a subject suffering from gunshot wounds.

The patient was transported to The local hospitals and airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals.

The incident remains under investigation by the Dubuque Police Department.
