On August 20th, at approximately 11:18 pm, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a one vehicle crash on Maple Ln.

Julie Brandt, 54 , of Cazenovia was eastbound on Maple Ln. Brandt lost control and rolled her 2016 GMC Acadia. The vehicle came to rest on its driver’s side door, blocking both lanes of travel. Brandt was entrapped for a short time, she was able to get out of the vehicle with the assistance of a citizen and a Grant County Sheriff’s Deputy. Brandt had very minor injuries. After a brief investigation, Brandt was arrested for OWI 1st. Brandt was later released to a responsible party.

Persons arrested/or referred to charges by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office are presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court of law. An arrest is only an indication that probable cause exists to bring formal charges. The names of victims and witnesses to a crime have been withheld in accordance with §950.
