On Saturday, August 20, 2022, at approximately 4:30 PM, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a Vehicle vs. UTV crash with injuries on CTH H at CTH HHH.

Jennifer L. Simplot, 52, of Oregon, WI was stopped on CTH HHH in her 2013 Kia Sorento. Jacob M. Lange, 31, of Cuba City was traveling west on CTH H in a 2021 Can AM UTV. Simplot looked but did not see the UTV and pulled into the intersection. Lange was unable to stop and crashed into the passenger door of the Kia Sorento.

Simplot was not injured in the crash, her passenger, Aimee Delaney, 51, of Dubuque, IA. sustained injuries but refused transport.

Lange was transported by private vehicle for his injuries. The passenger in the UTV, Ryan Mowry (34) of Appleton, WI, was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Dubuque.

Both the Kia Sorento and Can AM sustained heavy damage and were towed from the intersection.

Simplot was cited for failure to yield right of way.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Hazel Green Police Department, Jamestown Fire Department, Jamestown First Responders, Dickeyville EMS and the Cuba City EMS and Automation Towing of Kieler.
