On 06/03/2022 at 7:08PM, the Jo Daviess County dispatch center received a report of a one vehicle accident near 7394 W. Mount Hope Road, rural Galena.

Investigating deputies determined that Lisa A. Ingwalson 60, of Galena, was operating a silver 2013 Volkswagen SUV westbound on W. Mount Hope Road, approx. l mile east of U.S. Rt. 20 West. Ingwalson lost control of the vehicle and left the pavement to the right. Ingwalson collided with small trees and shrubs, before coming to rest in the ditch.

Ingwalson was transported to Midwest Medical Center by Galena Ambulance Service for treatment of injuries.

Ingwalson was subsequently charged with Driving Intoxicated of Alcohol and Driving too fast for conditions. This incident remains under investigation.

Ingwalson is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
