Two vehicle crash

On Saturday, May 28, 2022, at approximately 11:13 a.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a two vehicle crash involving a camper overturned in the lane of traffic on USH 151 at MM 1 in the northbound lane.

Jessica L. Didier (43) of Cedar Rapids was traveling north in her 2010 Ford F150 pulling a 1998 Coachman Camper. Garrett R. Jochum (24) of Hazel Green was also traveling north in a 2005 Chevy Cobalt. Jochum admitted he looked down at the radio and when he looked up, he was close to hitting the camper. Jochum swerved to the left, lost control of the vehicle, and crashed into the side of the camper. The collision caused the truck and camper to crash, coming to rest facing south in the north bound land, with the camper on its side. Jochum did not receive any injuries, and Didier and her four passengers in her vehicle received no injuries.

One north bound lane of USH 151 was blocked for approximately 1 1/2 hrs.

The Jamestown First Responders, Jamestown Fire Department, Dickeyville EMS and Donnie’s Towing of Dickeyville assisted at the scene.

Grant County cited Jochum for inattentive driving.
