…Gusty winds through mid day… A powerful surface low pressure system over the western Great Lakes is resulting in strong gusty winds across the Midwest this morning. Gusts as high as 45 mph from the southwest are possible. If you are traveling today, especially in a high profile vehicle, be prepared for strong and gusty winds impacting your drive. Winds should decrease somewhat around mid day west of the Mississippi River, and during mid afternoon east of the Mississippi River.
