A vehicle driven by Gary Allen Schlapia, 68 of Maquoketa Iowa crossed in front of Devere Clinton, 74 of Elkader Iowa.A vehicle driven by Gary Allen Schlapia, 68 of Maquoketa Iowa crossed in front of Devere Clinton, 74 of Elkader Iowa.

Devere Clinton was northbound on US 61, when Allen Schlspias vehicle was heading south bound
attempting to make a left turn crossing US62NB to Hurtsville Road striking Clinton’s car pushing it into the east ditch.

Allen Sclspias and a passenger, Michel Griffin 61, of Maquoketa, were transported to Jackson County Regional Health Center in Maquoketa following the wreck where they died.

Clinton and his passenger were transported to Mercy One, Dubuque, with injuries. There’s no word on their condition.
