STOCKTON, Ill. — A semi-truck overturned Monday afternoon on US Route 20 East in rural Jo Daviess County, leaving the driver with minor injuries, according to the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Oct. 12, 2026, about a quarter-mile west of Galena Ridge Drive. Authorities said the truck was traveling westbound when it left the roadway on the right side while negotiating a left-hand curve. The driver attempted to re-enter the road but was unable to do so. The vehicle then struck an embankment in the north ditch and overturned.

The Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office investigated the single-vehicle crash with assistance from the Stockton Police Department and Elizabeth Area Ambulance. The semi was towed from the scene.

The driver was identified as Jordan D. Gustafson, 41, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri. He sustained minor injuries. No arrests were reported.
