DUBUQUE, Iowa — A 43-year-old Dubuque man was arrested Wednesday afternoon on a series of charges that include felony unauthorized use of a credit card, probation violation, multiple counts of contempt related to a domestic abuse order, and driving while barred.

Adam James Cox, white male, 43, was taken into custody at 517 Almond St. at approximately 2:50 p.m. on Oct. 7, 2026, according to Dubuque police records. The arresting officer was identified as Brehm, N.C.

Cox faces the following charges:

•  Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card Over $1,500 and Under $10,000 (felony)

•  Probation Violation (misdemeanor)

•  Contempt – Violation of Order Domestic Abuse (misdemeanor) — three counts

•  Driving While Barred (misdemeanor)

Authorities listed the arrest under case number AR 2026006823. No bond was set.
