FARLEY, Iowa — Two men suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning in Dubuque County.

Deputies from the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office and crews from Farley Fire and EMS were called to First Street South, beneath the Highway 20 overpass bridges, shortly after 4:30 a.m. on August 14. Responders found two occupants inside the vehicle.

The injured were identified as Gabriel E. Rodriguez Pina, 41, of Bloomingdale, Illinois, and Gaurav Karwal, 41, of Cedar Falls. Both were transported to MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center. Rodriguez Pina was later moved to University of Iowa Health Care for further treatment.

The incident remains under investigation.
