WOODMAN, Wis. — A physical disturbance in the Village of Woodman resulted in the arrest of a La Crosse man Saturday evening.

On July 18, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Grant County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a fight in progress on Jervis Street. Upon arrival, deputies arrested Angel Narvaez, 28, of La Crosse, who was allegedly causing an active disturbance at the scene.

Narvaez was transported to the Grant County Jail, where he was booked on four counts of Battery and five counts of Disorderly Conduct. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the incident.

Narvaez appeared in court on Monday, July 20, and was released on a signature bond.

Persons arrested or referred for charges by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. An arrest only indicates that probable cause exists to bring formal charges. The names of victims and witnesses have been withheld per Wisconsin Statute §950.04.
