The Best Six Days of Summer Return: Everything You Need to Know About the 2026 Dubuque County Fair DUBUQUE, Iowa — One of the Tri-State area’s most anticipated summer traditions is set to return as the 73rd Annual Dubuque County Fair opens Tuesday, July 28, and runs through Sunday, August 2 at the Dubuque County Fairgrounds.
Known as “The Best Six Days of Summer,” this year’s fair offers a packed schedule featuring agricultural competitions, nationally recognized entertainment, motorsports, family attractions, carnival rides, educational exhibits, live music, food vendors, and activities for visitors of all ages. Organizers have expanded family-friendly programming while continuing to celebrate the agricultural heritage that has made the Dubuque County Fair one of Iowa’s premier county fairs. Throughout the week, visitors can enjoy daily attractions including Old MacDonald’s Farm, Tiny Town, an Exotic Animal Zoo, the Creative Arts Building, Kids Korner, the 4-H Building, exhibit halls, mechanical bull rides, carnival attractions, comedy and magic performances, live music, Grace Good aerial performances, Lasting Impressions entertainment, foam and bubble shows, and numerous educational demonstrations.
