Have you received a package you didn’t order? It might not be a mistake. Scammers are sending random items or empty boxes to people’s homes and using their name to post fake online reviews to boost product ratings.

Some of these packages now include QR codes asking you to scan for more information. This is known as “quishing” (QR code phishing), and the codes can lead to fake websites designed to steal your personal or financial information.

While the item may seem like a harmless freebie, it’s often a sign your information is already being used without your knowledge. In some cases, packages are even sent using stolen accounts and then taken after delivery.

-Do not scan QR codes from unknown packages
-Do not engage with unknown senders
-Report suspicious deliveries

If something doesn’t seem right, trust your instincts and report it.
