Dubuque, IA (May 28, 2026) — Brittany Rae Walters, a 32-year-old white female, was arrested early Thursday morning on charges of domestic abuse assault (simple misdemeanor) and second-degree burglary (felony). 

According to the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center daily bulletin, officers arrested Walters at approximately 00:12 a.m. at 401 Central Avenue in Dubuque. 

Charges

•  Domestic Abuse Assault – Simple (Misdemeanor): Involves alleged assault in a domestic context, typically defined under Iowa law as causing bodily injury or placing another in fear of imminent harmful contact within a domestic relationship.

•  Burglary 2nd Degree (Felony): Iowa Code defines second-degree burglary as breaking and entering a dwelling or occupied structure with intent to commit a felony, theft, or assault. It carries significant penalties upon conviction, including potential prison time.
