Dyersville — Dubuque County crews will perform culvert replacement work on Olde Castle Road today, Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

The project is set for 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and covers the 1.65-mile stretch from Olde Worthington Road to Highway 136. Officials say the road will remain open to traffic during construction.

The work aims to maintain proper drainage under the roadway, helping prevent flooding and road damage common in the area. Motorists should expect possible minor delays, flaggers, heavy equipment, and reduced speeds in the work zone.

Drivers are advised to:

•  Slow down and watch for workers

•  Allow extra travel time during the morning window

•  Use caution on any disturbed surfaces

This targeted repair is part of Dubuque County’s ongoing secondary roads maintenance program. For updates, check the county website or contact the Dubuque County Engineer’s Office.

Safe travels, and thank you for your patience.
