Dubuque, Iowa (May 8, 2026) — A 35-year-old Dubuque man was arrested Friday morning on a felony child endangerment charge and two misdemeanor drug offenses.

Corey Ridgeway Suchan (W/M/35) was taken into custody at 7:30 a.m. on Kane Street by Officer J. Ostwinkle. He faces the following charges:

•  Child Endangerment – Serious Injury (Felony)

•  Possession of Controlled Substance – Marijuana (1st Offense) (Misdemeanor)

•  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)

Suchan was booked into the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center with a total bond set at $51,300. He remains in custody awaiting court proceedings.

Details of the incident, including the nature of the alleged serious injury to the child or children, have not been released. The two drug charges are often viewed as aggravating factors in child endangerment cases under Iowa law.

Suchan is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
