What Drivers Need to Know

While local contractors work to modernize the cityโ€™s utility lines, the area will be strictly a “Work Zone.” A posted detour will be in place to reroute traffic around the 1.5-mile construction site.

City officials are advising residents to:

โ€ข Plan Ahead: Add an extra 5โ€“10 minutes to your morning commute to account for the detour.

โ€ข Follow Signs: Do not attempt to bypass barricades; the road will be physically impassable in certain sections due to trenching for sewer lines.

โ€ข Safety First: Maintain low speeds when approaching the work zone perimeter to protect on-site crews.

Questions or Concerns?

The City of Peosta is managing the project and has opened a line for resident inquiries. If you have questions regarding property access or specific timelines, you are encouraged to contact the city directly.
