What Drivers Need to Know
While local contractors work to modernize the cityโs utility lines, the area will be strictly a “Work Zone.” A posted detour will be in place to reroute traffic around the 1.5-mile construction site.
City officials are advising residents to:
โข Plan Ahead: Add an extra 5โ10 minutes to your morning commute to account for the detour.
โข Follow Signs: Do not attempt to bypass barricades; the road will be physically impassable in certain sections due to trenching for sewer lines.
โข Safety First: Maintain low speeds when approaching the work zone perimeter to protect on-site crews.
