
MUSCODA, Wis. — A domestic dispute in the Village of Muscoda resulted in a stabbing and two arrests on January 11, 2026.
At about 8:18 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible stabbing on Wisconsin Avenue. Deputies from Grant, Iowa, and Richland counties responded.
Officers found a 44-year-old man with a head wound and a severe cut to his left hand. He received on-scene treatment and was transported to Richland Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries by Muscoda EMS.
The investigation revealed the injuries stemmed from an argument between roommates. Suyuapa Ponce, 43, and Juan Argenal-Arteaga, 33, both of Muscoda, were arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail on charges of domestic battery.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be filed.
Assisting agencies included the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office, Richland County Sheriff’s Office, and Muscoda EMS.
