Dubuque, IA – December 8, 2025 – James Christian Gerken, 43, of Dubuque, was arrested Sunday evening at 2175 Central Ave. on seven charges stemming from an alleged assault and public disturbance.
According to authorities, Gerken faces:
1. Assault-general (misdemeanor)
2. Disorderly conduct-fighting/violent behavior (misdemeanor)
3. Harassment 1st degree (felony) – three counts
4. Public intoxication (misdemeanor)
5. Interference with official acts – no injury/damage (misdemeanor)
The incident occurred around 5:54 p.m., with Officer C.L. Holmes responding. Gerken was booked into Dubuque County Jail.
Being held on an $3500 cash bond arraignment pending in Dubuque County District Court. No injuries reported.
