OK, folks. First big snow hits in a couple days—time for the annual reminder.

1.  Speed kills in snow. Too fast + slamming brakes = ditch. Even with ABS.

2.  Skidding? Ease off the gas, steer into it, let the car slow naturally.

3.  In the ditch? Stay IN your vehicle. Someone else is probably coming right behind you.

4.  4WD/AWD ≠ magic. We pull just as many of them out as regular cars. Overconfidence is expensive.

5.  Visitors from the South: We love having you, but if you’ve never driven on ice, do us all a favor—stay put and let the locals handle the roads 😉
