Dubuque, Iowa – Authorities in Dubuque arrested 28-year-old Diamonte Doriel Goodman early Thursday morning on a series of serious charges stemming from alleged violations of protective orders and prior court supervision. The incident, which unfolded at a residence on Iowa Street, highlights ongoing concerns about domestic violence enforcement in the community.

According to Dubuque Police Department records, Goodman, a resident of the area, was taken into custody at approximately 6:10 a.m. at 770 Iowa St. The arrest was executed by Deputy D.R. Hubanks of the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department, serving an active warrant issued in response to multiple complaints filed against Goodman.

The charges against Goodman include:

•  Felony Assault Committed by a Person Against Whom a Protective Order Has Been Issued (Case: FECR161577) – This stems from an alleged assault in violation of an existing protective order, with no bond set pending court appearance.

•  Misdemeanor Domestic Abuse Assault – Simple (Case: SMCR161578) – Accusations of simple domestic assault, also awaiting court with no bond.

•  Misdemeanor Contempt – Violation of No Contact/Protective Order (Case: SRCR158747) – For allegedly breaching terms of a no-contact order, no bond.

•  Felony Pretrial Supervision Violation (Case: FECR156446) – Related to failing to comply with pretrial release conditions, carrying a cash or surety bond of $2,500.

The total bond amount for Goodman’s release is listed as no bond across all counts, indicating he will remain in custody until his initial court appearance. Warrants for his arrest were initially ordered on October 3, 2025, by Dubuque County Judge Mark T. Hostager, following a complaint lodged by the Dubuque Police Department. The active arrest warrant was served on November 6, 2025, bringing the case to a head.

Goodman is scheduled to appear in Dubuque County Court, where he will face formal arraignment on the charges. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
