
Dubuque, IA – A 45-year-old Dubuque man was taken into custody early Monday morning on multiple charges, including felony witness intimidation, following an incident reported last week.
Joshua John Walker, a white male, was arrested at 6:00 a.m. on November 4, 2025, at 770 Iowa St. in Dubuque. He faces the following charges:
1. Tampering with a Witness – Intimidation (Class D Felony)
2. Theft in the 5th Degree – All Other Larceny (Simple Misdemeanor)
3. Contempt – Violation of No Contact/Protective Order (Simple Misdemeanor)
4. Harassment in the 3rd Degree (Simple Misdemeanor)
According to court records in State of Iowa vs. Walker, Joshua John (Case No. 01311 FECR161884), the criminal complaint was filed by the Dubuque Police Department on October 27, 2025. An arrest warrant was issued two days later on October 29 by Judge Robert J. Richter, who also authorized its execution.
Walker was served the warrant on November 4 by the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department. During his initial appearance before Judge Richter, a $5,000 cash appearance bond was set, along with a preliminary hearing scheduled for November 13, 2025, at 10:50 a.m. A no-contact order was issued, with copies provided to the protected party.
A cash bond was posted later that morning by Cody Jonathan Bradford, according to docket entries. Walker also filed an application for court-appointed counsel and a financial statement through the sheriff’s department. Judge Kellyann M. Lekar issued an order for discovery on the same date.
Attorney Jonathan Michael Dunn entered an appearance on Walker’s behalf.
The case remains active in Dubuque County District Court. No further details about the alleged incidents have been released by authorities.
Walker is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
