
Dubuque County, Iowa – The Dubuque County Highway Department has announced the completion of a hot-mix asphalt (HMA) resurfacing project with milling on Humke Road. The construction, which began on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 7:00 AM, concluded on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 12:00 PM.
The project spanned a 2.87-mile stretch of Humke Road, from Sundown Road to Seippel Road. Throughout the duration of the work, the road remained open to traffic, though drivers were advised to exercise caution in the construction zone.
The resurfacing effort aimed to improve road conditions and ensure safer travel for residents and commuters in the area. With the project now complete, Humke Road is fully accessible with its newly paved surface.
