FENNIMORE, WI – On October 18, 2025, at approximately 8:23 A.M., a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Hwy 18 and Cty F in Fennimore Township, resulting in injuries and significant vehicle damage. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office, alongside Fennimore Fire and EMS and the Fennimore Police Department, responded promptly to the scene.

According to the investigation, John Haas, 41, of Potosi, was driving a 2003 Ford F-150 northbound on Cty F when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the Hwy 18 intersection. At the same time, Kevin Meegan, 28, of Poplar Grove, Illinois, was traveling westbound on Hwy 18 in a 2010 Dodge Ram. Meegan’s vehicle collided with the passenger side of Haas’ truck, causing extensive damage to both vehicles. The impact sent both trucks into the north ditch.

Fennimore EMS provided on-scene treatment to both drivers. Kevin Meegan was transported to Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster for further medical care, while John Haas sought treatment from a care provider via private vehicle. Authorities noted that heavy fog likely contributed to the crash.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the incident. The damaged vehicles were towed from the scene by Doan’s Towing of Fennimore and Haase’s Towing of Montfort. John Haas was issued a citation for failing to stop at the stop sign.
