DUBUQUE COUNTY, Iowa – Oakland Farms Road will be closed for construction starting Wednesday, October 15, 2025, as contractors undertake a bridge drilling project. The closure will affect a 2.4-mile stretch of Oakland Farms Road between Whitetop Road and Military Road, specifically at the bridge located approximately 0.65 miles east of Whitetop Road.

The road will be completely closed at the bridge site during daytime hours, from approximately 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The project is expected to take 1-2 days, weather permitting, with work limited to daytime to minimize disruption.

Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes during this period, as no through traffic will be permitted in the work zone. The Dubuque County Road Department encourages drivers to exercise caution and follow posted signage for safety.
