DICKEYVILLE, WI – A high-speed motorcycle crash on Highway 151 at the intersection of County Highway HH in Paris Township left one man seriously injured on the morning of October 3, 2025. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at approximately 7:17 A.M. reporting the accident, prompting a swift response from deputies, Dickeyville Fire, Dickeyville EMS, and Southwest Health EMS.

The investigation revealed that Austin Litka, a 27-year-old resident of Bellevue, Iowa, was operating a 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on Hwy 151. According to a witness, Litka was traveling at an estimated speed exceeding 100 mph when he passed their vehicle moments before the crash. Litka claimed he was driving at 85 mph at the time of the incident.

Authorities determined that Litka lost control of the motorcycle shortly after overtaking the vehicle, causing the bike to slide into the median and come to a stop on the shoulder of the northbound lanes. Litka, who was not wearing protective gear, sustained serious injuries. He was transported to Mercy One Medical Center in Dubuque, where he was reported to be in stable condition.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office cited Litka for speeding and operating a motorcycle without a license. Emergency crews from Dickeyville Fire, Dickeyville EMS, and Southwest Health EMS provided critical support at the scene, with Donnie’s Towing of Dickeyville assisting in the recovery of the motorcycle.
