Dubuque, IA – September 27, 2025 – A 35-year-old Dubuque resident was arrested Saturday morning after a traffic stop led to charges of eluding and driving with a barred license.

Corey Matthew Ary, 35, was taken into custody at 8:07 a.m. at 10068 Boleyn Road by Dubuque County Deputy Sheriff A.C. Potter. Ary faces two felony charges: Eluding – Speed 25 MPH Over Limit – Second or Subsequent Offense, and Driving While Barred.

According to authorities, Deputy Potter attempted to stop Ary’s vehicle due to prior traffic violations. Ary allegedly sped up, exceeding the speed limit by more than 25 mph, before stopping on Boleyn Road. No injuries or property damage occurred during the incident.

Ary is being held at the Dubuque County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond, with an initial court appearance pending. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office continues to monitor traffic violations to insure community safety.
