Dubuque, IA — A 27-year-old Maquoketa woman was taken into custody by the Dubuque County Sheriff’s office on a warrant early Friday morning following a vehicle collision that resulted in serious injuries, authorities confirmed. Kaylynn Mae Knight, of Dubuque, faces a felony charge of Homicide or Serious Injury by Vehicle under Iowa Code Section 707.6A.
The arrest occurred at approximately 6:15 a.m. at 770 Iowa Street,
Knight was booked into the Dubuque County Jail on a $10,0000 cash surety bond and is scheduled for no initial court appearance is noted. If convicted, the charge carries a potential sentence of up to 25 years in prison and fines exceeding $10,000.
