Muscoda, WI – September 23, 2025

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Shyanne Malone, a 53-year-old resident of rural Muscoda, was the individual found deceased in an ongoing investigation in the Town of Muscoda. The investigation was initiated on September 10, 2025, following a 6:15 p.m. call from a neighbor who reported seeing Malone unresponsive in her driveway. A deputy arrived at the scene and determined that Malone was deceased.

Due to unusual circumstances surrounding the incident, the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory’s Crime Scene Response Team was called to assist with the investigation. An autopsy was conducted on September 12, 2025, at UW-Hospital in Madison to further examine the cause of Malone’s death. Authorities have stated that no additional details will be released at this time, pending further investigation and autopsy results.

On September 11, 2025, the Sheriff’s Office noted that the victim’s identity was initially withheld to allow for family notification and confirmed there was no immediate threat to public safety.
