Dubuque, IA – A 20-year-old Dubuque resident was taken into custody Tuesday morning on multiple charges including possession of a controlled substance and violations related to probation and custody, authorities confirmed.

Austin Michael Miller, identified as a white male, was arrested at approximately 11:17 a.m. at 2023 Key Way Drive. According to the Dubuque Sheriff’s Department, Miller faces four charges:

1.  Drug Possession of Controlled Substance (Misdemeanor),

2.  Probation Violation (Misdemeanor),

3.  Probation Violation (Felony),

4.  Voluntary Absence From Custody (Misdemeanor).

The arrest stems from an ongoing investigation into probation compliance, with officials alleging Miller was found in possession of illegal substances during a routine check. Details on the specific controlled substance were not released. Miller is currently being held at the Dubuque County Jail, on $11,000 cash bond where he awaits an initial court appearance.
