DUBUQUE COUNTY, Iowa – Dutch Lane Rd will undergo a full closure starting Monday, September 29, 2025, at 8:00 AM for essential overhead power line repairs, according to a notification from Dubuque County officials.

The construction project, led by Central Iowa Power Cooperative, involves replacing a utility pole and performing maintenance on overhead transmission lines. The work zone, spanning approximately one mile, will be located just north of the bridge over the railroad. Dutch Lane Rd will be closed between Old Highway Rd and Highway 20 for the duration of the repairs.

The closure is expected to last 5 to 7 days, weather permitting. Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes to avoid delays during this period. County officials emphasize that the closure is necessary to ensure the safety of workers and the public while the critical infrastructure work is completed.
