DUBUQUE, IA – On August 7, 2025, at approximately 11:43 a.m., Juan Marcellus Bolden, a 25-year-old Black male, was arrested by Dubuque Police at the intersection of E 16th St and White St in Dubuque, Iowa. Bolden faces a series of charges stemming from an incident that has drawn attention from local authorities.

According to the Dubuque Police Department, Bolden was charged with:

1. False Imprisonment (Misdemeanor)

2. Domestic Abuse Assault with Injury – Simple Assault (Misdemeanor)

3. Theft 5th Degree – Theft from Building

4. Interference with Official Acts – No Injury/Damage

5. Obstruction of Emergency Communication (Misdemeanor)

The arrest took place following a reported incident at 98 E 16th St, though specific details regarding the events leading to Bolden’s arrest have not been fully disclosed by authorities at this time.

Bolden is currently in custody, on a $2500 cash surety bond.
