DUBUQUE, IA – The 72nd Annual Dubuque County Fair, running from July 22 to July 27, 2025, at the Dubuque County Fairgrounds (14569 Old Highway Road, Dubuque, IA), is set to deliver a week of unforgettable family fun, live entertainment, and thrilling carnival rides. This beloved tri-state tradition promises an exciting lineup of events, delicious food, and community spirit, with all entertainment included in the price of admission. Here’s your guide to the events, admission prices, and ride details for this year’s fair.

A Packed Schedule of Events

The Dubuque County Fair offers a diverse array of activities, from musical performances to high-energy track events and family-friendly attractions. All grandstand and festival stage performances are included with gate admission, making it an affordable outing for all. Here’s a day-by-day breakdown of the major highlights:

• Wednesday, July 23 – Kids Day/Race Day: Sponsored by The Donovan Family, this day features free kids’ activities and Wednesday Night Racing at 6:30 PM, including Pro Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Hobby Stock, 4 Cylinders, and Crown Vic Classes. Ken Peiffer returns to DJ in the Festival Garden at 8:00 PM.

• Thursday, July 24 – Country Day: Country music fans will love the Toby Keith Tribute Band, “The American Ride,” on the Grandstands Stage, with Beau Timmerman and Tyler Richton and the High Bank Boys performing on Blain’s Stage in the Festival Garden.

• Friday, July 25: The Fantasy Truck Pull takes center stage, with Cory Farley delivering high-energy country hits from 8:00 PM to midnight on Blain’s Stage.

• Saturday, July 26 – Tractor Pull/Family Day: Sponsored by Theisen’s, this day features the ECIPA Truck and Tractor Pull in the evening, alongside family-oriented activities.

• Sunday, July 27: The fair wraps up with a thrilling Demo Derby and the Julien Dubuque Classic, featuring IMCA Stock Cars and Mini Late Models at noon, ensuring a high-octane finale.

Additional attractions include The Amazing Bubble Factory, perfect for younger kids, and a Tiger Encounter, offering a unique zoological experience. A cook-off, supported by sponsors like Hormel and Trackside Bar & Grill, adds to the festive atmosphere.

Admission Prices

Admission to the fair is budget-friendly, with special discounts and free entry for kids:

• Tuesday, July 22: Free admission for all attendees, courtesy of Tegeler Body & Frame Wrecker & Crane.

• Wednesday–Sunday: $12 for adults (12 and older), free for children 11 and under.

• Discounted Ticket Packages: Purchase five admission tickets for the price of four ($45, a $15 savings) at the fair office or $50 at Theisen’s in Dubuque or Dyersville from June 1 to July 22, 2025 ($10 savings).

• Veterans & Active Duty Service Members: Show a military ID or veteran designation at the fair office by July 18, 2025, to purchase a $7 ticket (one per person).

• Parking: General parking is free with a complimentary shuttle to the gates. Preferred parking across from the grounds costs $10 per day.

Carnival Rides

The fair features a variety of carnival rides, a staple of the Dubuque County Fair experience. While specific ride details for 2025 are not yet available, past fairs have offered thrilling attractions for all ages, from kiddie rides to adrenaline-pumping roller coasters.
