The Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air-conditioned environments for those working outdoors.

Residents are also encouraged to check in on vulnerable relatives and neighbors, especially the elderly and those with pre-existing medical conditions. In case of heat stroke, it is essential to move the affected individual to a cool and shaded location and call 911 immediately.
