Just a quick heads up regarding a phone scam that is currently trending in our area. The scammer identifies himself as Deputy Shane Bockenstedt (actual employee, not a scammer) and states that the potential victim has missed jury duty, or has a warrant, or is the target of an investigation, basically any number of things that can keep your attention long enough to attempt to sound legitimate before attempting to get potential victims to send money in any form (cash, gift cards, Bitcoin, etc.). Please be aware and pass this along to friends and family that you feel may be vulnerable to this type of activity. Thanks, and stay safe.
