
DUBUQUE, IA – The 72nd Annual Dubuque County Fair is set to bring six days of excitement to the Dubuque County Fairgrounds from July 22–27, 2025, starting just five days from today, July 17, 2025. Held at 14569 Old Highway Road, Dubuque, IA, this beloved tri-state tradition promises a week of free musical performances, thrilling carnival rides, and family-friendly activities, all included with gate admission.
Ticket Information
Admission to the fair is affordable and packed with value:
• Tuesday, July 22: Free Admission Day, sponsored by Tegeler Body & Frame Wrecker & Crane in Dyersville, IA, with no ticket required for all ages.
• Wednesday–Sunday: $12 for adults (12 and older); children 11 and under enter free all week.
• Discount Deal: Purchase five admission tickets for the price of four ($45, a $15 savings) at the fair office from January 1 to May 31, 2025, or for $50 ($10 savings) at Theisen’s in Dubuque or Dyersville from June 1 to July 22, 2025.
• Veterans & Active Duty Service Members: Show military ID or veteran designation at the fair office by July 18, 2025, to purchase a $5 admission ticket (one per person).
• Parking: General parking is free with a complimentary shuttle to the gates; preferred parking across from the grounds is $10 per day.
Musical Performances
This year, the fair emphasizes community-focused entertainment, with all performances free with gate admission. The 2025 lineup includes:
• Tuesday, July 22: American Pride: Tribute to the Statler Brothers at 8:00 PM in the Grandstands, kicking off the fair with classic country harmonies.
• Wednesday–Sunday:
• Tyler Richton and the High Bank Boys, a Deep River, Iowa-based country rock band, delivering down-home vibes.
• Toby Keith Tribute: The American Ride, a must-see for country music fans.
• Cory Farley, a Decorah, Iowa native, bringing high-energy country hits.
• Vicebox, an eastern Iowa party band performing rock ‘n’ roll across genres.

Unlike previous years, no large-scale paid concerts are scheduled, as the Dubuque County Fair Association focuses on accessible entertainment for all.
Carnival Rides and Pricing
The carnival, a fair highlight, offers thrilling rides for all ages:
• Tuesday: Rides open from 4:00 PM to midnight (approximately), priced at $2 per ride; no unlimited ride bracelets available.
• Wednesday–Friday: Rides open from 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM (approximately), with unlimited ride bracelets available for $30.
• Saturday: Rides open from noon to midnight (approximately), with unlimited ride bracelets for $30.
The carnival features adventurous rides alongside kid-friendly options, ensuring fun for everyone.
Additional Highlights
The fair offers a packed schedule of events, including:
• Wednesday: Pro Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Hobby Stock, 4 Cylinders, and Crown Vic Classes racing at 6:00 PM.
• Friday: Fantasy Truck and Tractor Pull in the evening.
• Saturday: ECIPA Truck and Tractor Pull.
• Sunday: Demo Derby and Julien Dubuque Classic with IMCA Stock Cars and Mini Late Models starting at noon.
Family-friendly attractions include The Amazing Bubble Factory, a mesmerizing bubble show, The Steamers Thrill Show acrobats, a Tiger Encounter, and magician Special Head. These additions cater to all ages, with a special focus on young children who may not enjoy rides. Wednesday is Kids Day, featuring free kids’ activities.
