A 58-year-old Platteville man was injured in a UTV crash Sunday morning in Lima Township, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. Scott R. Floerke was traveling east on Richter Road when he attempted to make a right turn at the intersection with Banner Road at approximately 6:29 a.m.

The UTV overturned, pinning Floerke underneath, but a good Samaritan assisted in freeing him before deputies arrived. Floerke was taken to Southwest Health Center in Platteville for initial treatment and later transferred to UW-Hospital in Madison for further care.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources wardens responded to the scene, along with Southwest Health Center EMS and Precision Towing of Platteville. The incident is being investigated by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
