In Iowa, drivers are required to use a hands-free device when operating a vehicle. This means you can use your cellphone, but you must do so without physically holding it in your hand. You can use Bluetooth, voice commands, or a phone mount to make calls, send messages, or navigate while keeping your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.
The goal of this law is to reduce distracted driving and promote road safety. Let’s work together to stay safe on the roads!
