PLATTEVILLE, WI – Construction on the Pine Street Water Main Replacement Project is set to begin on Monday, June 30, 2025, marking the start of an important infrastructure improvement in the City of Platteville. The project will address critical repairs to ensure the reliability of the water system for residents and businesses.

Motorists and residents should take note of the following traffic and parking adjustments during the construction period:

• Pine Street: The westbound lane will be closed from Water Street to Chestnut Street, while the eastbound lane will remain open.

• Furnace Street: Designated as a one-way westbound street between Water Street and Chestnut Street, serving as the official detour for westbound traffic only.

• Chestnut Street: Parking will be restricted near Furnace Street to accommodate semis turning onto the street.
