SEVERE THUNDERSTORM Watch

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Dubuque, Iowa, update until 10pm CDT.

HAZARD:

• Winds in excess of 60 mph

• Quarter-sized hail (1 inch)

IMPACT:

• Damaging winds may down trees, power lines, and cause property damage.

• Hail may cause minor damage to vehicles and structures.

• Localized flash flooding is possible due to heavy rainfall.

LOCATIONS AFFECTED:

• City of Dubuque and surrounding areas within Dubuque County.

ACTION RECOMMENDED:

• Seek shelter immediately in a sturdy building, away from windows.

• Avoid driving; pull over if caught in high winds or low visibility.

• Monitor local weather updates via NOAA Weather Radio, TV, or mobile alerts.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

This storm is moving northeast at 30 mph. Residents should remain alert for rapidly changing conditions. Report any damage or severe weather to local authorities or the National Weather Service.
