
DUBUQUE, Iowa – Sylvester Pierre Hubbard, charged in case 01311 FECR160033, faces an arraignment on July 7, 2025, at 9:00 AM in Dubuque County District Court. The charges stem from a June 9, 2025, incident where Hubbard allegedly participated in a riot, pointed a gun at an individual during at fight at Comiskey Park , and committed related offenses.
The Dubuque Police Department filed complaints on June 10, charging Hubbard with two Class D felonies—participation in a riot and willful injury causing bodily injury—and two aggravated misdemeanors—assault while displaying a dangerous weapon and unlawful assembly. Each felony carries up to 5 years in prison and a $7,500 fine; each misdemeanor up to 2 years and $6,250.
Court records show Hubbard’s initial appearance on June 11 before Judge Robert J. Richter, who issued a no-contact order and set a $5,000 surety bond, which Hubbard posted for pre-trial release.
