DUBUQUE, Iowa – June 6, 2025 – The streets of Dubuque are set to come alive tonight as the annual BBQ and All That Jazz event returns, promising an evening of soulful music, mouthwatering food, and community fun under the iconic town clock on Main Street. Starting at 5:00 PM, this beloved summer kickoff event is poised to draw locals and visitors alike for a night of jazz, BBQ, and sweet treats.

The event begins with a performance by the talented Roosevelt Middle School Jazz Band from 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM. These rising local stars will set the tone for the evening, showcasing the vibrant young talent Dubuque has to offer. Following their set, The Grand Opera House takes the stage from 5:45 PM to 6:00 PM with a sneak peek of their upcoming production, Footloose. It’s a perfect appetizer for jazz enthusiasts and theater lovers alike.

The main course of the evening comes with The Business, a fan-favorite jazz ensemble, performing from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Known for their electrifying renditions of classic jazz hits, the group promises to play the songs you know and love, keeping the crowd grooving well into the night. Closing out the musical lineup is The DZ Combo & Company, featuring Stephon “Wxyley” Baldwin, Leslie Shalabi, and Daron Nelson, who will take the stage from 9:15 PM to 10:45 PM. Their set is expected to be a high-energy finale, blending modern and traditional jazz elements for an unforgettable performance.

But the music is just the beginning. and All That Jazz wouldn’t be complete without its “wide variety of food”, and this year’s food lineup does not disappoint. Attendees can feast on offerings from local favorites like Hibachi Time, The Hungry Hobo, Frank O’Dowd’s, and Magoo’s Pizza. For those with a sweet tooth, Vesperman Farms and Delaney’s Ice Cream will be serving up delectable desserts, while Sissy’s Lemonade offers a refreshing drink to wash it all down. Whether you’re craving savory or sweet, there’s something for everyone at this culinary feast.
