PLATTEVILLE, WI — On June 4, 2025, at approximately 6:17 p.m., Platteville police officers responded to a report of an altercation at McGregor Plaza. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unconscious male at the scene.

Southwest Health EMS promptly transported the individual to a hospital in Madison for further treatment. According to witnesses, the incident began as a verbal argument outside a business between the victim and another man, both of whom are known to each other.

Police have classified this as an isolated incident. The circumstances surrounding the altercation remain under investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with information or who witnessed the event to contact the Platteville Police Department at 608-348-2313.
