LANCASTER, WI – On May 30, 2025, at approximately 2:51 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash near 7254 Govier Rd. in the Township of North Lancaster. Michael Tillotson, 51, of Bagley, was driving a 2005 Dodge Dakota northbound when he failed to negotiate a curve, veered off the road, struck a line of round bales, and rolled the vehicle, which came to rest on its roof atop the bales.

Tillotson sustained injuries and was initially transported to Grant Regional Health Center by Lancaster EMS, then airlifted to UW Health in Madison by Iowa AirCare. The heavily damaged vehicle was removed by Arrow Towing.

Tillotson was cited for Operating While Intoxicated (2nd Offense), Failure to Maintain Control, and Operating While Suspended. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Lancaster Fire, Lancaster EMS, and Arrow Towing.

Per Wisconsin Statute §950.04, names of victims and witnesses are withheld. Those arrested or referred for charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
