Dubuque, IA – May 13, 2025

Dubuque police arrested Ian Ninneman , 34, at the Dubuque Lae Enforcement Center at 770 Iowa St. on May 13, 2025, at 6:35 AM, following a series of alleged crimes. Ninneman faces charges of assault committed by a person against whom a protective order was issued, first-degree burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief, and two counts of contempt for violating a no-contact/protective order.

According to authorities, Ninneman allegedly assaulted an individual protected by an active court order, broke into a residence, and caused property damage estimated at $300-$750. The two contempt charges stem from violations of the protective order, one classified as a misdemeanor and the other as a felony due to the nature of the breach.

Officers took Ninneman into custody without incident. The protective order violations triggered mandatory arrest under Iowa law, and the case has been referred to the Dubuque County Attorney’s Office.

Ninneman is being held at the Dubuque County Jail on a $50,000 cash appearance bond awaiting a court appearance.
