Attention area residents– Scammers are calling and leaving voicemails for local people stating the are Deputy Adam Williams. They further state the victim missed Federal jury duty, and are trying to get victims to call the scammers phone number. Adam Williams does work for our agency, but he is NOT calling anyone’s phone for any of the reasons listed above. The number they ask you to call back (563-241-5840) is not associated with the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office, nor is the email address they provide (info@civilservicedivision.org). Additionally, there is a website listed (civilservicedivision.org) that looks official, but it is also fraudulent. The person calling is a scammer. Do not give this person any personal or banking information. Thanks and stay safe.
