Dubuque, Iowa – March 31, 2025 – A 26-year-old Dubuque man, Russell Lynn Rosson, was apprehended on Sunday evening after an incident on Dodge Street. According to law enforcement reports, Rosson was taken into custody at around 9:07 p.m. in the 2685 block of Dodge Street.

Officer B.J. Berntgen made the arrest. Rosson faces two misdemeanor charges:

– Possess/Carry Dangerous Weapon While Under The Influence

– Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) 1st Offense

Law enforcement encountered Rosson allegedly in possession of a dangerous weapon while intoxicated, and they also determined that he was operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Details about the type of dangerous weapon involved have not been released.

Rosson was taken into custody and is currently held on a $2,000 cash bond. His court date is set for Monday.
