Boscobel Wisconsin – On Sunday, March 16, 2025, at approximately 9:00 a.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 133, just west of Boscobel.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Colleen Berent, a 52-year-old resident of Boscobel, was driving east on Highway 133 in a 2002 Saturn L300 when she momentarily took her eyes off the road to answer her cell phone. As a result, her vehicle veered off the roadway to the right. Despite her efforts to regain control, Berent over-corrected her steering and crossed the centerline, entering the ditch on the opposite side of the road. The vehicle descended the embankment and rolled an unknown number of times before coming to rest on its wheels.

Boscobel Fire and EMS promptly responded to the scene, transporting Berent to Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital via Boscobel EMS. Subsequently, she was flown to UW Hospital by Med Flight. Various emergency responders, including the Boscobel Police Department, Boscobel Fire Department, Boscobel EMS, and UW Health Med Flight, were present at the scene.

As a result of the incident, Berent was issued a citation for Inattentive Driving.
