* WHAT…Snow, blowing snow and possibly some freezing rain. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 5 inches and ice accumulations around a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph today and tonight. * WHERE…In Illinois, Jo Daviess and Stephenson Counties. In Iowa, Dubuque County. * WHEN…Until 6 PM CST Saturday. * IMPACTS…Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS…A brief period of moderate to heavy snow is possible from late this afternoon into early tonight with snowfall rates near 1 inch per hour, combined with gusty southeast winds between 25 to 35 mph and visibilities occasionally below a half mile. Periods of light snow are possible after midnight but little in the way of additional accumulation is anticipated. Additional snow is expected Saturday during the day. 1 to 3 inches of snow are possible starting near daybreak lasting through 6 PM. Slow down and use caution while traveling.
