WEDNESDAY…
* WHAT…Freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations around a
light glaze.
* WHERE…Portions of north central and northwest Illinois and east
central and northeast Iowa.
* WHEN…From noon to 9 PM CST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS…Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Very slippery sidewalks, roads
and bridges are possible. The hazardous conditions could impact
the Wednesday evening commute.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
Slow down and use caution while traveling. In Iowa, the latest road

Illinois, the latest road conditions are available at

Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while
driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and
slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
